The N scale S&U Rwy is built
around a 45' X 28' basement with CP Rail, CN, BC Rail,
and BN running through Western Canada and the Pacific
Northwest. The layout features mountains, farms,
industrial areas, a large steel mill, a large city, many
ports, rivers and waterfalls. It has operating mines,
dumpers, cranes, excavators and fireworks. It was
featured in 1999 "Great Model Railroads" and Nov-Dec
2006 "N Scale Railroading". |

The NCE-DCC controlled, HO
scale L&KV Model Railroad Museum has a
5,000 sq. ft. double decked layout with about 7,000 ft
of track and more than 250 turnouts. A helix connects
the lower and upper levels with operational signals. A CTC room from which the entire layout can be monitored
and controlled. It depicts the route of the Lehigh
Valley Railroad in 1950 to 1976, from West Portal NJ to
Bethlehem PA and north to Coxton PA, The Reading
Railroad From Quakertown PA. To Bethlehem PA. then to
Harrisburg, The Central of New Jersey from Elizabethport
NJ to Wilkes-Barre PA. |

Joshua's prototypical
U-shaped point to point switching layout is based on the towns of
Homer and Cortland, NY located along the Syracuse Branch of the
Delaware, Lackawanna, and Western Railroad of
1957. Variety of scratch-built structures from field measurements
and period photos. Waybill operation; off layout staging. First
generation diesels with period equipment. DCC control (Digitrax). An
OO layout (English equivalent of HO) is in progress above. |

Paul's DCC controlled HO scale Western
Maryland is based on the "Pennsylvania Railroad Schuylkill Division"
from a book John Armstrong to which additional staging was added and
was operated as the Pennsylvania Railroad Pittsburgh Region. The
layout was later changed to the Western Maryland Ry. of 1955
extending from Hagerstown to Connellsville and a portion of the
Thomas Sub. Recently, the era on the WM was changed to 1971. 60
detailed and sound‑equipped WM diesels, a slug, run thru N&W power
keep the fast freights rolling. New on the WM are 2 scratchbuilt
coal mines from the late Alden Smith's layout. |

Bob's 1978 Conemaugh Line
represents a portion of Conrail’s operation in western
PA diverging from Conrail’s Pittsburgh Line near
Johnstown, and rejoining Conrail’s Ft Wayne Line in
Pittsburgh. The modeled portion is from Kiski Yard near
Freeport to Federal Street in Pittsburgh. Staging
extends this area eastward to Johnstown PA, westward
through Pittsburgh to Conway Yard, and also westward to
Butler, and northward to Kittanning. Train control is by
Digitrax, Signals are virtual using android tablets and
JMRI signal logic with dispatch by a JMRI CTC panel. |

DCC layout with two helices. Fully signaled, and dispatcher
controlled. Modern era railorad with unit trains, Amtrak MARC, CSX,

train loader and dumper plus a ribbon rail train. For a

Dave's 2-level, 2-room layout
profiles CSX from Cumberland, MD to Connellsville, PA
over Sand Patch. The era depicted is in the early 2000's
right after the Conrail split. Many of the fallen
flag railroads around that timeframe are represented
with foreign power and rolling stock. The focal point is
the large Cumberland yard and is supported by a number
of staging tracks to represent prototypic traffic moved
on this busy double tracked line. The operating system
is NCE and track is code 55. Signature scenes include
downtown Cumberland, Narrows, Hyndman, Rockwood, and
Sand Patch. Access to the basement layout is via the
backyard. |

Baltimore/Washington west to Pittsburgh, north to
